Fox
Fox
Glazed Porcelain
19” high x 27” long x 2.5” deep
2024

This piece was inspired by time I spent living on San Juan Island. The foxes were originally introduced to the island to control the rabbit population. This porcelain hand sculpted fox is shown with rose brambles on its coat representing cleverness and the ability to navigate tricky spaces and situations. It was created as part of a menagerie for a large ceramic installation at the Museum of Northwest Art. The sculpture consists of seven individuals pieces that hang together to create the creature. If purchased within the greater Seattle area I will personally deliver and install the art. Shipping is additional.
